About

Gene Christensen, a lifelong true Republican, is a candidate for the 4th Congressional District of Texas. Gene will be running as a defender of our shared conservative ideals of faith, freedom and families. Christensen, a staunch conservative, believes that America must have the strongest military in the world and an aggressive Homeland Security program to keep our citizens safe. He strongly supports effective border control security, reducing our tax burden, and using the most current technology to run government more efficiently. As a businessman and fiscal conservative, Gene knows we must cut our wasteful government spending and eliminate unnecessary government regulations that hurt small businesses and cost us jobs.

Gene Christensen serves as Executive Director of People Against Drugs Affordable Public Housing Agency (PAD) and is President of Green Light Racing, a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series racing team. As Executive Director of PAD, a non-profit corporation that is self-supporting without any government funding, he has made ground breaking efforts in drug prevention programs and affordable housing. Founded in 1990, People Against Drugs has garnered national attention and led to Christensen’s testimony before the United State Senate Oversight Committee on Housing for the Resolution Trust Corporation. The mission of this organization lies in identifying national areas of need, program development, fostering community awareness, raising funds for local prevention networks, and providing an arena for prevention congruity on all levels of the government, as well as the private and non-profit sectors. His work with People Against Drugs fostered the notion that people can take responsibility for their lives and than an organization such as PAD can work with the government to help eradicate a national epidemic by starting at the local level.

A lifelong active Republican and philanthropist for many years, Gene Christensen has been a very strong supporter of the National Republican Congressional Committee, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Bush/Cheney ‘04 State Finance Committee, as well as the campaigns of U.S. Congressmen Jeb Hensarling, Sam Johnson, Pete Sessions, JC Watts and Congresswoman Kay Granger. Gene has served as Vice Chairman of the President’s Gala Dinner and is a life member of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. He has supported the Special Olympics, March of Dimes and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Gene Christensen has also worked with numerous school districts, police departments, Boys and Girls Clubs, community centers, the National Guard, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Executive Office of the President on educational prevention projects.

Gene Christensen is a 19 year resident of North Texas and currently resides with his wife Cheryl in Celina.
